Kathy Lajeunesse

I have always dabbled in creative arts and have worked with fibre since I was a teenager. I love the many fibre materials available and the many ways they can be used to make original art.


Landscape 1

This was my first attempt at wet felting. The colours of roving made available in the workshop inspired me to create a cottage lake landscape.

Wet felted background. Embellished with embroidery and minor appliqué.

Movement in the Field

The printed background fabric reminded me of milkweed pods and grasses being blown sideways on a windy autumn day.

Gelli-printed fabric background. Embellished with embroidery, quilting stitches and appliqué.
