I’m fascinated by puzzles and shapes and how they fit together. Filling in with colour and texture using fabric, beads, threads and stitches, either traditional or experimental, overlapping, building up the creation. Framing as a box often completes the art.

Inspiration: Marbleized paper has always fascinated me. I attempted to recreate wonderful flow and motion of marbleized paper. Can be sold individually.

Inspiration: A challenge, 2 pieces of brown paper, some acrylic paint, a sewing machine, silk fusion and some beads. Butterflies take flight.

Inspiration: The colours in the wonderful stone are echoed in the soft ripples of mauve, olive and taupe, undulating behind a stream of beads.

Inspiration: There’s a fishpond with a stream babbling in our backyard. It provides a peaceful place to sit and rest for myself and other wildlife.
Techniques and materials: TimTex, various papers, gesso, acrylic paint (including Interference), dupioni silk, sheers, metallic threads, acrylic paint, feathers, copper wire.

Inspiration: I remember picking up shells on the beach. I was fascinated by the colours and translucency of the shells. The Nautilus is the King.

Inspiration: The interplay of translucent red petals with green and yellow base fascinated me. The stamens were a bold and textural contrast in white.
Techniques and materials: Bullion Knots, French Knots, and beads, machine stitched with various cotton, polyester, rayon and metallic threads.

Inspiration: Reminiscent of Charlie Chaplin’s movie, “Modern Times” the cogs and wheels are totally connected and drive our world.
