I love the wide array of vivid colors you find with threads, wool, felt and fabrics. The organic texture of these materials makes a piece feel like a living thing with its own moods and preferences.






Spring Garden Mandala Necklace

The thread colours and pattern of this cross stitched mandala remind me of a formal garden with flowers in bloom.

Cross stitched embroidery on Aida cloth, framed in a small hoop. Findings and 27-inch chain are antique brass finish.

Pattern on batik fabrics made me think of cactus. These are both functional as ornaments and useful as pincushions.
